Jars of Clay assists more than 300 people a day with a Thanksgiving meal and a good time during the entire week of Thanksgiving (November 24th-27th). Additionally, we provide more than 250 take home baskets so transitional housing families can prepare their own Thanksgiving Meal at home!!!
A really great way for you to get involved and help is to:
Donate a turkey
Cook a turkey and bring it down
Donate canned vegetables
Cook vegetables and bring them down
Risk your image, resources & time to fellowship with the homeless
Work as a volunteer (Food preparer, box sorter, grocery grantor and more)
Registration volunteer
Trash collector (very important!)
Please be sure to sign up today to ensure your participation for this great event. Jars of Clay is uniquely run and volunteers are processed in our system up to one week before the event. Last minute volunteers without registration will not be permitted to serve in any capacity. This ensures the safety and security of the event, food, food distribution and children. Please be kind and help us stay organized, register on time!

| Will You Donate A Turkey?.......We Need 450 Birds |
Each November, we collect food for our shelter, homeless families and low income families throughout our community. The working poor are always supported as they receive a 10-12 pound turkey and the trimmings for a holiday meal from our food Pantry. 300 hundred families received a box in 2008!
This enormous effort is made possible through the generous donations of food and money during our annual Turkeys Tackling Hunger campaign in the fall. So What's in the box?
1 turkey, 4 cans of corn, 4 cans of green beans, 2 cans of yams, 1 box of stuffing mix, 1 can of cranberry sauce, 3 onions, 6 potatoes, 1 bunch of celery, 1 loaf of bread, 1 dessert, your prayers & support & a bible.

Please consider getting your entire family or company involved! We would love the help. All age children are welcome, our events are always family centered. You may bring your camera and take pictures of your family serving...especially if it is your couch potato teenager (smile)!
