About Pastor Anita & The Ministry Team

Anita founded Jars of Clay Shelter in 1997. Originally it was a healing and deliverance sanctuary for the homeless until they could find employment, faith and housing. In 1998 Jars of Clay expanded by launching a non-denominational church for those who were not welcomed in conventional churches because of poverty, homelessness, addictions, divorce or financial status.  Today, Jars of Clay Church hosts Sunday services to everyone that wants to love and learn about the Lord, regardless if they are homeless on the street, or successful in a large-scale home. Our vision to empower all Christians to work in ministry, reach families of all communities with uplifting music, a friendly atmosphere and a relevant message that can be applied to daily life.

We believe the church should be a safe and loving environment where people from all walks of life should feel at home. We want your students and children to enjoy coming to church as much as you do and have designed a safe and loving environment for you and your family to grow and experience Christ together.

Our mission is to help people experience Christ rather than man’s creation of religion, so they can grow strong in Christ and take the Christ experience to the world. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, that He loves you unconditionally and has a plan and a purpose for your life.
